How much RAM does a Purpur server need?

We recommend 6 GB of RAM to run Purpur comfortably, with 3 GB as a practical minimum for a small setup. Purpur itself is lightweight — your real memory use comes from the plugins, players, and world size you run on top of it.

Budget more heap as you add content and players: a plugin-heavy network on Purpur wants noticeably more than a bare install. Keep -Xms and -Xmx matched so the JVM never resizes the heap under load.
