How much RAM does a NeoForge server need?

We recommend 6 GB of RAM to run NeoForge comfortably, with 4 GB as a practical minimum for a small setup. NeoForge itself is lightweight — your real memory use comes from the mods, players, and world size you run on top of it.

Budget more heap as you add content and players: a large modpack on NeoForge wants noticeably more than a bare install. Keep -Xms and -Xmx matched so the JVM never resizes the heap under load.
